Protecting your personal data is important to P.G.S. Electrical Supplies Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “PGS” or “Company” or “We” or “Our” or “Us“), and it is fully committed to protecting your privacy.

This note sets out how PGS processes your personal data. The specific purpose of this note is to inform you of the personal information we collect about you, the reasons we use and share it, how long we hold it, what your rights are, and how you can exercise them.

This note has been prepared by us, based on the framework of the European Union Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

Who we are

PGS (HE23391) is a private law company registered since 1984 in Cyprus with its registered office on April 1, 189 in Paralimni. Our main activities are the sale of lighting fixtures, electrical equipment and lamps nationwide.

To whom this note concerns

This note is intended for individuals who:

are current or potential customers or past customers, suppliers, affiliates, employees, visitors to the Company’s website.

are natural or legal persons, who are the real beneficiaries of natural persons, who are current or potential or past customers, suppliers, affiliates, employees, visitors to the Company’s website.

They are authorized natural persons acting on behalf of potential or past customers, suppliers, affiliates, employees, visitors of the Company’s website.

In which cases will we obtain your personal information

When you contact us, so we can contact you to provide you with, or receive products or improve our services, we may ask you to provide us with your personal information. In such a case, you have every right not to give us your personal information. However, you will not receive the information you request from us or we may not be able to provide or receive the products and services you require.

Whenever you need to open an account in our company, we may ask for your personal information, so we can contact you about the collection of payment and the settlement of your account. Also, in that case you have every right not to give us your approval and not to give us your personal data. However, in that case, we may not be able to start having transactions between us.

When you visit our website www.pgs.com.cy, we will send you small files, known as cookies, and we will obtain electronic data from you. You will still have the option of refusing to provide us with this data, but you will not be able to use our internet services in whole or in part.

In particular, we use your personal information:

To contact you for products and services we believe they may interest you.

To deliver our goods and services to you or to receive your own goods and services.

To keep you up to date on offers, special prices, new products and new services.

To collect any outstanding and unpaid invoices of the account you have with our Company or to pay you.

To communicate these data and to transfer them to authorities, agencies or to the State, where such an obligation exists. Also, to communicate personal data, where a lawsuit is brought against us and / or in filed by us.

To inform you about your employment or our choice to employ you or not to employ you. To create a business card that you will use as an employee to get in touch with partners of the Company.

To publish your name, village or city, photos and audiovisual material from your company premises and to advertise our products or to inform you in case you win a competition or draw.

Which personal data we may need

In all cases we need to contact you, we will need your full name, phone number, fax, e-mail, mailing address, home address, and signature.

If we need to collect money from you or pay you, in addition to the above, we may ask for your bank account details, IBAN number, credit card numbers and dates.

In case you are an entrepreneur or trader or representative of a company or organization we may also ask you for your work address, the main activity of the company you represent, your company’s website, your VAT number, your tax identification number, your position and personal contact information.

In the event that the transaction involves some form of credit facility from us, then in addition to the above, we may ask for identity, some information about the debtor’s financial position and personal guarantee from the debtor or the person representing them.

If you are an employee or you are interested in a position in our Company, we may ask for your contact details, date of birth, social insurance number, to tell us whether you are an EU citizen or not, sources of income, past employment history, information about your education and your health. In the case of employees, we also collect personal data of visual nature through closed circuit systems and cameras.

In case you are selected by us, with your consent, we may photograph your space to advertise our work or to publish your name as winners of competitions and draws. We may publish your name, village or town, in which you reside and photographs or audiovisual material from your own private space.

If you are a visitor to our website www.pgs.com.cy or its subpages, or an e-mail sender or visitor to our online store, we may obtain from you, in addition to the above, IP (Internet Protocol Address) addresses, the type of browser you use, the information about the subpages you saw on our website, the time and date you visited our website, e-mail addresses and asking you to fill in online products order forms with all relevant information. We may also ask you, through our website and its subpages, to fill electronic forms, which we will use for statistical purposes or for competitions and draws. In such case, your participation will be completely voluntary. We may also send you electronic files known as cookies. Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which are usually used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the website you visit and are stored on your computer’s hard drive and can be erased at any time. Our website uses these cookies to collect information to help us improve our online service. You have the option to accept or reject these cookies and find out when a cookie is sent to your computer. If you choose to decline our cookies, you may not be able to use certain parts of our service.

Authorized and unauthorized third parties

It is very important to inform you that in some cases, third parties may use your personal data, such as our authorized representatives or our partners or affiliates or parties related to us or service providers we employ, and not PGS itself. Such third parties may be our employees, technicians, transport companies, software providers, telecommunications, computer companies, advertising companies, etc. As you understand, we use such third parties in cases it is necessary to carry out our mission. We would like to inform you that these third parties have limited access to your personal information in order to carry out the work we have given them. However, they are also obliged not to disclose your information to third parties.

It is also very important to inform you that our website may contain links to other websites. Clicking on such a link, will take you to third-party websites. Please note that PGS does not manage these external websites. Therefore, we strongly recommend you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over them and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party websites.

Where your information is kept

We keep your personal information stored at the Company’s headquarters on April 1st, 150 in Paralimni and in our local stores across Cyprus. Your personal data is also stored in our software, which may be located on our server on April 1st, 150 in Paralimni, our telecommunications company, or through a cloud-based cloud service anywhere in the world.

We believe that we have the proper tools, safeguards, and the right partners and employees to keep your information away from illegal, unauthorized use, which may cause harm. We appreciate your confidence in it. However, please keep in mind, that no online transfer or electronic storage method is 100% secure and reliable and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

How long we keep your personal information

We store your personal data for a period of up to 10 years, beyond the period required by our relationship, unless we have a legal obligation to keep your personal data for an even longer period or unless it is not possible to delete your personal data for technical reasons.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data.

You have the right to be forgotten. That is to say, to ask us in writing destroy or erase your personal information, and this will be done within 30 days of receiving the notice. Please note that you do not have the right to ask us to delete personal data, which may authorize us to make a payment in case you owe us money, within the credit facilities we may have provided or if the balance is outstanding.

You have the right to request our revised policy regarding your personal data.

You have the right to correct or update your personal data.

You have the right to request a restriction on the process of your data by us, when this is not contrary to the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and when it is not a part of a litigation process.

You have the right to make a complaint, if you are not satisfied with the handling of your personal data. If you have any complaints or wish to exercise any of your rights, you may only contact us in writing by e-mail on [email protected] or by a double registered mail to April 1st, 150, Paralimni.

Revision of this note

This note was last revised on July 14th, 2018. Please note that this note may be subject to revision from time to time. Thus, we recommend you to periodically review this note for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our website www.pgs.com.cy These changes are effective immediately upon publication.
